6.2 Function of Switches
6.2.1 B420/B430/B440 (ODA/OEL/AOS)
The functions of each switch are as follows:
1) On-line Switch
In On-line mode : Goes off-line.
In Off-line mode : Goes on-line.
In Menu mode : Exits the Menu mode and goes on-line.
In Error mode : Forces to print despite the wrong paper size or paper type if proper pa
-
per is requested due to the improper paper size or paper type. When
Manual Print is requested, loading paper in Manual Feed, then pressing
this switch will prompt printing.
2) Cancel Switch
In On-line mode : Deletes a job being processed. Cancels a job being printed and deletes.
Completes receiving a job being received and deletes it.
In Off-line mode : Cancel switch is disabled.
In Menu mode : Exits the Menu mode and goes on-line. Does not delete a job being pro-
cessed if any.
In Error mode : Deletes one job if jobs are pending due to Paper End error. Completes
receiving a job being received and deletes it. Returns to the original error
status except for Paper End error after deletion of a job.
3) Enter Switch
In On-line mode : Enters the Menu mode. The internal state while in the Menu mode is off-
line.
In Off-line mode : Enters the Menu mode.
In Menu mode : Advances the Category in the Menu. Reverses the Category to the previ-
ous when pressed for two seconds or longer.
4) Menu Switch
In On-line mode : Enters the Menu mode.
In Off-line mode : Enters the Menu mode.
In Menu mode : Advances the Item in the Menu. Advances fast when pressed for two
seconds or longer.
5) Menu Switch
In On-line mode : Enters the Menu mode.
In Off-line mode : Enters the Menu mode.
In Menu mode : Reverses the Item in the Menu. Reverses fast when pressed for two sec-
onds or longer.
6) Back Switch
In On-line mode : Pressed for 4 sec. Display “SHUTDOWN START”.
In Off-line mode : Pressed for 4 sec. Display “SHUTDOWN START”.
In Menu mode : Exits the Menu mode or Back to 1 step display item. Pressed for 4 sec.
Display “SHUTDOWN START”.
