(2) Manual feeding (B410)
(a) Manual feeding is a feeding method, where a single sheet of paper is fed through the
special manual feeding slot at a time.
(b) Manual feeding is employed primarily with special media.
• The use of OHP sheet, labels and envelopes are supported only with manual feed-
ing .
(c) Booting method
• A paper of size corresponding to the editing size is requested on LCD panel.
• When the paper is set to the special manual feeding slot, it is drawn in automatically in 0.5
second and printing starts.
(d) Editing size
• Refer to Section 9.1.1.1
(3) 2nd Tray Options
(a) The 2nd tray takes effect only when the 2nd tray is set at power-on.
(b) The paper cassette is an universal cassette that takes any paper size.
(c) Because the printer cannot detect the type of paper set, paper size is to be desig-
nated in the menu or PJL.
(4) Multipurpose Tray (B420/ B430/ B440)
(a) A Multi-Purpose Tray will be provided with the base machine.
(b) This tray will accommodate specialty stock materials such as labels , envelopes ,
transparencies , and unique size plain papers.
(c) Because the printer cannot detect the type of paper set, paper size is to be desig-
nated in the menu.
(d) The printer determines the edit size based on the designated size.
