PSE Resident Bit Map Fonts do not exist in this device.

c) Encoding

Encoding is a mapping information on what character to assign to each ASCII code. It is

equivalent to the Symbol Set of PCL.

The following encodings are the 2 standard types that are possessed. Encodings other

than these are re-encoded by PostScript job.

(1) Adobe Standard Encoding

(2) ISO Latin Encoding

• Download Fonts

The followings are the types of Download fonts:

(1) Type-1 when downloading normal fonts used for PostScript

(2) Type-2 when downloading fonts mainly as Bit Map

(3) Type-42 when downloading TrueType fonts

The number of fonts that can be downloaded in this device depends on its VM capacity.
